My age is 22, soon to be 23 in November. I am thinking late 80's early 90's for most of these songs.

Huh.  I was in high school when those songs came out, and I'm in my 2nd year of college too!  (Or, I will be in January, with any luck).

I believe I was in 5th grade or so when those songs came out.  I am in my 2nd year of college.

You're going to hate me for this, but I was in elementary school when those songs were big. Here's some of the stuff I grew up on--

New Kids On The Block (any song of theirs really, don't feel like naming every top 10 hit they ever had)

Nirvana

The Offspring (particularly "Come Out And Play," "Self-Esteem," and "Gotta Get Away From Me")

Nine Inch Nails ("Closer")

MC Hammer ("U Can't Touch This")

Vanilla Ice ("Ice Ice Baby)"

Paula Abdul ("Straight Up")

Michael Jackson (A lot of these too...and I admit that I LOVE the "Thriller" album)

Ace of Base ("I Saw The Sign" and "Don't Turn Around")

Now you've made me curious to remember what my favorite songs from that time period were.  I was in high school at the time, and these are the bands, songs, and albums I remember liking very well back then (1991-1994):

Guns n Roses
Blind Melon "No Rain"
Led Zeppelin "Black Dog" and "Stairway to Heaven"
Poison "Every Rose Has It's Thorn"
Scorpions "Winds of Change"
Steelheart "I'll Never Let You Go"
Saigon Kick "Love is on the Way"
Ozzy "No More Tears" album
The Black Crowes "Hard to Handle"
Michael Crawford, especially the Phantom soundtrack
The Guess Who "These Eyes" and "American Woman"
Skid Row "I Remember You" and "18 and Life"
Bryan Adams "Everything I Do"
Aerosmith
Pearl Jam "Ten"
Megadeth "Countdown to Extinction"
Temple of the Dog "Hunger Strike"
Red Hot Chili Peppers "Under the Bridge"
Metallica "Black Album"
Def Leppard "Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad"
Damn Yankees "High Enough"
Nirvana "Nevermind"
Tom Cochrane "Life is a Highway"
Spin Doctors "Pocket Full of Kryptonite"
Soundgarden "Badmotorfinger"

Some of the older bands and songs were 'introduced' to me by my now ex-husband around that time - he was a big Zeppelin, The Guess Who, and Grateful Dead fan, along with other bands from that era.

Creed wasn't even a band yet while I was in college. Come to think of it, the Internet (as we know it) was a baby when I was graduating college. Scott Stapp was getting expelled from school while I was in my sophomore year.

When I was in college I was still listening to pop. Wanna laugh? Here were some of my favorite tunes:

The B-52's: "Roam" and "Love Shack"
Positive K: "I Got a Man"
Salt 'n Peppa: "Let's Talk About Sex"
Heavy D: "Now That We've found Love"
Michel'le: "No More Lies"
Mr. Bigg: "Be With You"
Ugly Kid Joe:  "(I Hate) Everything About You"
C&C Music Factory: "Things That Make you Go 'Hrmmm...'"
Young MC: "Bust a Move"
Biz Markee: "Just a Friend"
Mariah Carey: "Vision of Love"
Boyz II Men: "Hard to Say Goodbye (To Yesterday)"
Lisette Melendez: "Goody Goody"
SWV (Sisters With Voices): "Right Here"
Nelson: "Love and Affection" and "After the Rain"
Babyface: "When Can I See You Again"
Seal: "Crazy"
Sting: "Fields of Gold"
Del Amitri: "The Last To Know"
Toad the Wet Sprocket: "Walk on the Ocean"
Duran Duran: "Ordinary World"

Try to contain your laughter, folks...
